Formed in 1991, The Majellan Singers are an ensemble of around 18 singers whose musical backgrounds vary from professional to enthusiastic amateur. The aim of the group is to provide an opportunity for women to develop their choral skills in a friendly and supportive environment and to produce choral music of a high standard, with an emphasis on a capella repertoire. As well as their own concerts, the singers sometimes join with other artists, including mixed voice groups. Festivals, weddings and other events also feature on the choir's calendar
